Gratitude
I’m tired.
I’m 33 weeks pregnant and this baby is getting bigger and taking a lot of energy to grow. My pain level has been higher the last couple weeks, too, which is exhausting by itself. I’m teaching a crochet class twice a week, which has been very fun and enjoyable, but is another thing that fills my schedule.
And then there are the many trips to ballet class. The girls are preparing for a show, and the studio is an hour drive from our home, so I’m spending a lot of time on the road and away from home right now…
I am tired, but I am so thankful!
I get to have another baby! I wasn’t sure that was ever going to happen again because of my health struggles, but it is! And I know that this little one will be worth all the pain and exhaustion. I cannot wait to look into his precious face!
I’m thankful that my condition is not something that threatens my life or the life of my baby in any way. It could be so much worse! The pain is hard to bear, but it’s just pain, and not illness.
I’m thankful for the classes I get to teach and the other fun activities that fill our schedule. My children and I are blessed with such good friends, and we are blessed to be able to do all kinds of fun things with them.
I am so thankful that my girls get to do ballet! I would have loved to be able to have dance lessons when I was a little girl, but it was not available in our area at the time. I’m also so very thankful for my husband, who works hard so we can afford the driving and lessons. And I am thankful for my mother, who helps out with getting them to ballet whenever she can.
I have a lot to be thankful for, and when I add it up my problems seem a lot smaller. And when I think of the intense things that other people are dealing with, my problems shrink even more. It’s not that they go away, but it is amazing how your troubles have less and less power over you when you switch your main focus away from them.
I would love to hear what you are thankful for today!
Love,
Lee
