Dear New Mom

Dear New Mom
PART 1

Inspired by my two friends that just became moms.

Dear New Mom,
I want you to know that you are incredible!! Whether you motherhood journey started through pregnancy, labor and delivery, adoption, fostering, or any other way, you are incredible! You are an amazing Mom! You are loving on your baby and you are working for his or her best. You are giving of yourself. You are growing, your child is growing and that is a wonderful, beautiful thing.

Dear New Mom,
It's hard but you've got this! You are stronger than you ever thought you could be. You will function on less sleep than you thought possible. You will do more in all these little moments then you realize. You are building a strong foundation for your child as you love and care for them. Hold them, snuggle, feed, sing, laugh, smile, and enjoy this beautiful treasure that has been gifted to you.

Dear New Mom,
You have what it takes! Trust your instincts, do what you feel is best for your baby. Don't let all the voices of other's drown out what you know is best for your baby. You have been given special wisdom for your own child! You were designed for this. You have what it takes. You are so strong and so amazing. You will grow, it will get better, just keep loving on that baby.

Dear New Mom,
Take time for yourself. I know it's hard! A moment in the shower, a moment outside, a moment at baby's nap time, where ever you can, take some time for yourself. You are so special and valuable! Taking care of yourself is not selfish! It will better empower you to take care of your little one.

Dear New Mom,
We were never meant to do it alone. Say "yes" to help. If someone wants to bring a meal, wash your dishes, or help out, say "yes". We were meant to support and care for one another. We were meant to love on each other through the ups and downs. Saying "yes" gives others the joy of getting to be apart of this special journey you are on.

Dear New Mom,
Congratulations! You are a Mom!! Wow! What an honored place you have been called to. What an important job you have to do. What an amazing adventure you have begun. Your whole life has just changed. Your world may feel smaller but your impact is so great! You are doing the hardest, most valuable job in the world! You are amazing. You are strong! You are so beautiful!

Much love,
Joy
